The boiling point of pure water is 100 °C and the melting point is 0°C at 1 atmospheric pressure. Here the water boils at 102 °C hence it is not pure water and freezes at a temperature below 0°C.

"hello students welcome to leader homework i am akriti and i teach science at dido learning and today we are going to discuss the question which says a sample of water under study was found to boil at one zero two degree celsius at 102 degree celsius the water is boiling at normal temperature and pressure is water pure the question they are asking is is this water pure and will this water freeze at 0 degree celsius we need to comment upon that now we are talking about sample of water now we know that pure water the boiling point is 100 degree celsius right for freezing point would be zero degree celsius for pure water we know these are the temperature now but this study under the study it was shown that this water is boiling at 102 degrees celsius which clearly shows that this water is not pure at all that is why it is boiling at a temperature more than its boiling point and the next question that they have asked will this water freeze so obviously this water is not pure so it is not going to freeze at zero degree celsius it will freeze at a temperature below zero degree celsius so that would be the answer for this question the water does not pure and it will freeze at a temperature below zero degree celsius if you like this video and the explanation please like the video and if you have any query put that in the comment section for more such questions and their solutions please subscribe the video channel and stay tuned for more keep learning bye"
