"hello everyone welcome to litter this is
priya
and here we have a question about
limitations of j.j thomson's
model of an atom so coming to the
limitations of
uh limitations of j.j thomson's model of
the atom
so this theory
this model has failed to explain the
outcome of
the outcome of
alpha particles the outcome of
alpha particles which are scattering
the alpha particles that are scattering
during the luther falls experiment
so the experiment done by this rooted
faults
experiment that alpha they it it has not
given a perfect reason for
why this outcome of alpha particles is
happening when it is allowing to
hit on a cold foil so the model
failed to depict why the majority of
these alpha particles
are passing through the gold foil
and some are being diverted
through small and big angles and while
some are rebound
rebounds to completely returning back on
their
own path okay so that has
that explanation is not being possible
by this
j.j thompson's model of an atom
and second one is so it is it is
completely
not an experimental evidence so it is
just
established so it is just established
with on an
imagination on imagination
so jj thompson's model of the atom was
unable to
explain about the outcome of alpha
particles
which some major amount of alpha
particles are passing through them
and some of them are diverting back and
some of them are diverting in different
angles
so this explanation was not done by j.j
thompson's
and there is no experimental proof so
this all theory was established only on
imagination so that's why the j.j
thomson's model was failed to answer by
most of the people so this is about the
question students hope you understand
