A body starts from rest with a uniform acceleration of 2m/s. Find the distance covered by the body in 2s.

Given:

u=0; a=2m/s^2 ; t=2s

v = u + at

= 0 + 2 x 2

v = 4m/s

distance travelled, s=ut+\frac{1}{2}at^2

= 0(2) + ½ (2) (2.2)

= 0 + 4

= 4m
