Question 1

Q1) The length, breadth and height of a water tank are 5m,2.5m and 1.25m respectively. Calculate the capacity of the water tank in (a) m^3 (b) litre.

Solution:

(a)volume of the water tank in m^3

= l\times b\times h

= 5m\times2.5m\times1.25m

= 15.625 m^3

(b) volume of water tank in litre

= 15.625\times1000 = 15625 litre
