Q13) Define one kilogram, the S.I. unit of mass. How is it related to (i) quintal (ii) metric tonne and (iii) gram?

Solution :

The mass of 1litre of water at 4°C is taken as 1kg

1 quintal = 100kg

1 metric ton = 10 quintal = 1000kg

1 g = \frac{1}{1000} kg or 1 kg = 1000 g
