A dice is rolled once. What is the probability that the number on top will be Odd ?

Answer:

A dice is rolled once, the possible outcomes are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Then,

The probability that the number on top will be Odd

Odd numbers in the dice are 1, 3, 5

Then,

Probability = total number of odd numbers/ Total number of outcomes

= 3/6 … [divide numerator and denominator by 3]

= ½
