sin A/ (1 + cos A) = (1 – cos A)/ sin A
Solution:
We can apply the algebraic identtiy (a+b) (a-b) = ( a2-b2)
L.H.S. = sin A/ (1 + cos A)
On multiplying and dividing by (1 – cos A), we have
\begin{aligned} &=\frac{\sin A(1-\cos A)}{1-\cos ^{2} A}=\frac{\sin A(1-\cos A)}{\sin ^{2} A} \\ &=\frac{1-\cos A}{\sin A}=\text { R.H.S. } \end{aligned}
