Curved surface area of a cone is 308 cm2  and its slant height is 14 cm.

Find radius of the base



The shape of a cone is produced by stacking several triangles and spinning them around an axis. It has a total surface area and a curved surface area because it has a flat base.

Given curved surface area of the cone = 308 cm2

Slant height of the cone, l =14 cm

π rl = 308

(22/7)×r×14 = 308

r = 308×7/(22×14)

= 7
