Solution:

25, 35 and x are in continued proportion

\Rightarrow 25 : 35 = 35 : x

\Rightarrow\ 25\times x=35\times35

x=\frac{35\times35}{25}

\Rightarrow x= 49

guys welcome to your Lido homework today we're doing question number 12 which is if 25 35 and x are continued in proportion then find the value of x so this is again a fairly simple question first of all, let's understand the meaning of what does this word continued in proportion means that means that if you write the middle one so whatever in the middle so you're in the the center is 35 so it's 25 35 and then x so you write 35 twice so first of all let's understand how to write it twice so first, you will write 25 okay then you write the ratio symbol then you'll write 35 then you'll put the double ratio symbol just like this and then you'll write 35 again okay so this is what it means and then you'll write your x now as you know in proportions the product of the mean is equal to the product or product of the means is equal to the product of the extremes so so therefore 35 into 35 is equal tox into 25 therefore the value of x will be 35 into 35 upon 25 so, first of all, uh when you divide 25 right so 35 into 7 35 into 7 will be 2 4 5 2 4 5 and then you have to divide it by 5 afterward will give you your answer as 49 so the value of x in this question is 49 let me highlight it 49 users finally so thank you so much guys for watching if you have any doubts please let me know in the comments below thank you so much
