According to the equation,

𝑎^3 − 𝑏^3 = (𝑎 − 𝑏)(𝑎^2 + 𝑎𝑏 + 𝑏^2)

So we get,

8𝑥^3 −1/27𝑦^3

= (2𝑥)^3 − (1/3𝑦)^3

Based on the formula,

= (2𝑥 −1/3𝑦)((2𝑥)^2 + (2𝑥)(1/3𝑦) + (1/3𝑦)^2)

= (2𝑥 −1/3𝑦)(4𝑥^2 +2𝑥/3𝑦+1/9𝑦^2)
