From the question,

Rope length = [13(1/2)] m = (27/2)

Number of equal pieces divided into = 9

Then we have,

= (27/2) ÷ (9/1)

= (27/2) × (1/9)

(Because reciprocal of (9/1) is (1/9)

= (27 × 1) / (2 × 9)

= (3×1) / (2×1)

= (3 / 2)

= [1(1/2)] m

Hence, the length of 9 pieces of rope is [1(1/2)] m
