Using the Distributive Law of Multiplication [(a×c) + (b×c) = (a + b) ×c)]

Let,

a= -16, b= -4, c= -8

Then,

= (-16) × (-8) + (-4) × (-8)

The above equation can be written as,

= {((-16) + (-4)) × (-8)} … [∵(a×c) + (b×c) = (a + b) ×c)]

= {(-16-4) ×(-8)} … [∵ (+ × −= −)]

= {-20 × (-8)} … [∵(− × −= +)]

= 160
