Using the Distributive Law of Multiplication [(a×c) + (b×c) = (a + b) ×c)]

Let,

a= 10, b= 5, c= -12

Then,

=10 × (-12) + 5 × (-12)

The above equation can be written as,

= {(10+5) × (-12)} … [∵(a×c) + (b×c) = (a + b) ×c)]

= {(15) × (-12)} … [∵ (+ × −= −)]

= -180
