RS Aggarwal Solutions Class 7 Mathematics Solutions for Integers Exercise 1B in Chapter 1 - Integers

Question 35 Integers Exercise 1B

9 × (-13) +9 × (-7)

Answer:

Solution:-

Using the Distributive Law of Multiplication [(a×b) + (a×c) = a ×(b+c)]

Let,

a=9, b=-13, c=-7

Then,

= 9 × (-13) +9 × (-7)

The above equation can be written as,

=9 ×{(-13) + (-7)} … [∵(a×b) + (a×c) = a ×(b+c)]

= 9×{(-13-7)} … [∵(− × −= +)]

=9×{-20} … [∵ (+ × −= −)]

= -180
