"hello students welcome to lido homework i'm tutor aaron swati from lead role learning now let us express the following rational numbers as decimals so we have 3 parts 42 divided by 100 327 divided by 500 and 15 divided by 4. so we'll go by each question so now we'll solve our first question that is 42 divided by 100 so in order to express them as decimals we go for the long division method for every question it will be the same so we'll solve the first question which is 42 divided by 100 so 42 divided by 100 42 is not divisible by 100 so that we'll keep a decimal and add two zeros to 42 so that it becomes 4200 now we know for four times we'll get 400 so we could write that in the next step we'll be subtracting 420 and 400 so that the reminder will be 20. now we have one more zero we'll bring it down as 20 is doesn't come under 100 so 2 times now we'll get it as 200 and now the reminder is 0 therefore we have got our decimal form of 42 divided by 100 therefore the decimal form of 42 divided by 100 is 0.42 now we will go for the second part that is 327 divided by 500. so 327 inside and 500 will be outside 327 is not exactly divisible by 500 so that we'll keep a point and add two zeros so now we got it as thirty two thousand seven hundred we know that we'll get three thousand six times so 6 into 500 is 3 000 so we could write that so when we subtract that our reminder will be two thousand seven hundred five hundred into five is two thousand five hundred so for five times we'll get two thousand five 500 when we subtract them we will get the reminder as 200 but 200 is not divisible by 500 we have one more zero here so at this stage i'll bring it down now 2000 is divisible by 500 so for four times we'll get 2000 the reminder is zero so now we got our decimal form of 327 divided by 500 therefore 327 divided by 500 is equal to 0.6 now we'll solve our third part that is 15 divided by 4 by long division method 4 and 15 4 is not divisible by 15 so that sorry i made a small mistake it is 15 divided by 4 i just made a ulta of it yeah so 15 divided by 4 yes 15 is actually divisible by 4 for 3 times we'll get 12 the reminder is 3 now 3 is not divisible by 4 so that we'll keep a decimal value and add a 0 with it for 7 times we'll get 28 will get the reminder 2 for 5 times we'll get it as 20. i'm adding an 0 again with this so that it will be 20 so 20 is 5 times so our reminder will be 0. therefore the decimal form of 15 divided by 4 is 3.75 if you have any doubts please post your questions in the comment box and subscribe the channel for regular updates thank you"
