Question 20 Area of Trapezium and Polygon Exercise 20.1

A garden is in the form of a rhombus whose side is 30 metres and

the corresponding altitude is 16 m. Find the cost of levelling the garden at the rate of Rs. 2 per m2.

Answer:

Given that,

Side of rhombus = 30 m

Altitude of rhombus = 16 m

Since rhombus is a parallelogram,

therefore Area of parallelogram = base × altitude

Area of parallelogram = 30 × 16 = 480 m2

Cost of levelling the garden = area × rate

Cost of levelling the garden = 480 × 2 = 960

So, Cost of levelling the garden is Rs 960

"Hello students. I am Dieter your math Speedo tutor. Today's question is a garden is in the form of a rhombus whose side is 30 meters and the corresponding Orca two days 16 meter find the cost of leveling the ground at the rate of Rupees to per meter Square. First of all, we draw a rhombus. And this one is height of the rhombus. So a b c d is a rhombus in rhombus or sides are equal and is it is the height? Insight is 30 meter and height is 60 meter. Okay. So Thomas is also a panel van as we know the area of parallelogram area of parallelogram is equal to base into height. So in this position based is also a team leader. So the idea of Bengal gram is 30 meter into 16 meter. We get 40 meter Square x 480 meter Square. So this is the area of the playground but in this version we have to find the cost of leveling the cost of living is to per meter Square. So we multiply 4 DT multiplied to We get rupees nine sixty. So, this is our answer. I hope you liked this video. Please subscribe for more videos. I'll see you in a sec until then. Stay safe, bye-bye."
