We know k = xy

3 × 30 = x × 18

x = (3×30)/18

"hello students and eeta your mass leader tutor and today's question is a group of three friends staying together consumed 54 kg of feed every month some more friends joined this group and they find that the same amount of wheat last for 18 days how many new members are there in this group now first of all we let new members number of new friends or we can say members is equal to x and three friends consume 54 kg wheat in every month but now the now the wheat lasts for 18 days so we form a table between number of friends and between the time so first of all the number of days and the number of members we write it this is number of members or we can say number of friends if number of friends is three then time which is in days then the 54 kg of feed last for 30 days but if new members add so we let it be x then the feet consume in 18 days so it is a case of it is a case of indirect variation it is a case of indirect variation because one thing is increased then second is decrease if number of persons increase the number of days decrease in indirect variation k is equal to x y so 3 into 30 is equal to x into 18 now we solve the equation so 90 is equal to x into 18 so 90 divided by 18 is equal to x so 18 and it means x is equal to five that is the number of new members are five five new members added this is our answer i hope you like this video so please subscribe video for more updates and do comment your questions thank you "
