Question 6 Percentage Exercise 11.6

A lawyer willed his 3 sons Rs 250000 to be divided into portions 30%, 45% and 25%. How much did each of them inherit?

Answer:

Given total amount with the lawyer = Rs. 250000

First son's inheritance = 30% of 250000

= (30/100) × 250000

= 7500000/100

= Rs. 75000

Second son's inheritance = 45% of 250000

= (45/1000) × 250000

= 11250000/100

= Rs. 112500

Third son's inheritance = 25% of 250000

= (25/100) × 250000

= 6250000/100

= Rs. 62500

"hello students welcome to leader homework let us see what today's question is a lawyer willed his three sons rupees 2 lakh 50 000 to be divided into portions 30 percent 45 and 25 how much did each of them inherit so we need to calculate how much did each of the three sons get out of 2 lakh 50 000 so the percentage is given which we need to convert into amount okay so total let us start by writing total amount with the lawyer the son's father gave is rupees to lack 50 000 okay so first son inheritance is equal to 30 of 2 lakh 50 000 which is equal to 30 by 100 into 2 lakh 50 000 so this 0 0 and 0 0 cancels and you get rupees 75 000 so this is the amount the first sun gets now second sun inheritance is 45 percent 45 out of 100 into 2 lakh 50 000. so again two zeros will get cancelled and when you multiply the numbers you get one lakh twelve thousand and five hundred okay so now third sun inheritance which is 25 percent so 25 out of 100 into 2 lakh 50 000 again two zeros will get cancelled and you get 62 500 rupees so this is the amount each sun will get so when you add these three values it will sum up to 2 lakh 50 000 so i hope it's clear if you still have any doubts put a message in the comments section and subscribe to our channel for further updates thank you"
