Question 20 Linear Equations in One Variable - Exercise

9x – _________ = –21 has the solution (–2)

9x – 3 = –21 has the solution (–2)

In the question it is given that, x = -2

Then, let us assume the missing number be y

(9 × (-2)) – y = -21

-18 – y = -21

• y = -21 + 18

• y = - 3

Y = 3

"hello students i am rita your math leader tutor and the today's question is 9 x minus dash is equal to minus 21 has the solution minus 2 so in this question the value of x is given to us minus 2 because solution is given it means the value of x is given to us minus 2 and we have to find this missing number we let the missing number is equal to y we let it missing number is equal to y so the equation becomes 9 x minus y is equal to minus 21 and we know the value of x is equal to minus 2 so we put the value of x in place of x we put the value of x that is minus 2 minus y is equal to minus 21 so we got minus 18 minus y is equal to minus 21 minus y is equal to minus 21 when minus 18 goes to the right hand side it becomes plus so the minus y is equal to minus 3 minus minus cancel each other so the answer y is equal to 3 so the missing number is 3 so the answer is 3 this is our answer so the answer is 3 this is our answer i hope you like this video so please subscribe video for more updates and to comment your questions thank you"
