Question 124 Squares and Square Roots & Cubes and Cube Roots - Exercise

A hall has a capacity of 2704 seats. If the number of rows is equal to the number of seats in each row, then find the number of seats in each row.

Answer:

From the question, it is given that the total number of seats = 2704

Let us assume a number of seats in each row are ‘a’

As per the condition given in the question,

Number of rows is equal to the number of seats in each row i.e. ‘a’

Then,

Total number of seats = a × a

2704 = a^2

By taking square root on both sides,

a = √(2704)

a = √(52 × 52)

a = √(52)^2

a = 52

∴ The number of seats in each row is 52.

hello students welcome to lido q a video session i am sef your maths tutor and question for today is a hall has a capacity of 2704 seats if the number of rows is equal to the number of seats in each row then find the number of seeds in each row from the question it is given that the total number of seeds is equal to 2704 let us assume a number of seats in each row to be a as per the given condition from the question number of rows is equal to the number of seats in each row that is a then total number of seats will be equal to into a that is going to number of seats now total seats given is 2704 2704 is equal to a into a which is a square so you can take the root and you will get root of 2704 is equal to a hence value of a comes out to be root of 52 into 52 52 into 52 is 2704 that is y so a is equal to 52 hence we can say here that the number of seats in each row is 52. if you have any queries you can drop it in comment section and subscribe to lito for more q a thank you for watching
