hello students welcome to this video by leader learning I am sham Prakash I'm a math student at lido so in this video, we are going to take this question which says minus 3 by 5 plus 2 by 5 is equal to dash okay so basically we have to add two rational numbers so in the process to add two rational numbers we will have to first check whether these two rational numbers are like or unlike okay so tell me minus three by five and minus and sorry 2 by 5 are they like or unlike rational numbers tell me correct they are like rational numbers y because they have the same denominator enough because they have the same denominator so they are like rational numbers so when we are adding two like rational numbers we have to just keep the denominator as it is means the denominator is 5 so we'll keep the denominator as 5 and then we have to simply add the numerators what are the numerators minus 3 and plus 2 okay so we have to add both of them now tell me minus 3 and plus 2 they both have same sign or different sign they have a different sign so if they have different sign they will add or subtract correct we will subtract ok so it will be actually we will simply
