Q4) Obtain the volume of rectangular boxes with the following length, breadth, and height respectively:

(i) 5a,\ 3a^27a^4

(ii) 2p,\ 4q,\ 8r

(iii) xy,\ 2x^2y,\ 2xy^2

(iv) a,\ 2b,\ 3c

Solution:

(i) Volume of rectangular box

= Length x Breadth x Height

= 5a\times3a^2\times7a^4

= \left(5\times3\times7\right)\left(a\times a^2\times a^4\right)

= 105a^7 cubic units

(ii) Volume of rectangular box

= Length x Breadth x Height

= 2p\times4q\times8r=\left(2\times4\times8\right)\left(p\times q\times r\right)

= 64\ pqr cubic units

(iii) = Length x Breadth x Height

= Length x Breadth x Height

= xy\times2x^2y\times2xy^2

= \left(1\times2\times2\right)\left(x\times x^2\times x\times y\times y\times y^2\right)

4x^4y^4 cubic units

(iv) Volume of rectangular

= Length x Breadth x Height

= a\times2b\times3c=\left(1\times2\times3\right)\left(a\times b\times c\right)

= 6abc cubic units
