# NCERT Solutions Class 8 Mathematics Solutions for Exercise 6.3 in Chapter 6 - Squares and Square Roots

Question 15 Exercise 6.3

2025 plants are to be planted in a garden in such a way that each row contains as many plants as the number of rows. Find the number of rows and the number of plants in each row.

Let the number of rows be, x.

∴ the number of plants in each rows = x.

Total many contributed by all the students = x×x = x^{2}

\begin{aligned} &\text { Given, }\\ &x^{2}=\operatorname{Rs} .2025 \end{aligned}

\begin{array}{l} x^{2}=3 \times 3 \times 3 \times 3 \times 5 \times 5 \\ \Rightarrow x^{2}=(3 \times 3) \times(3 \times 3) \times(5 \times 5) \end{array}

\begin{array}{l} \Rightarrow x^{2}=(3 \times 3 \times 5) \times(3 \times 3 \times 5) \\ \Rightarrow \mathrm{x}^{2}=45 \times 45 \\ \Rightarrow \mathrm{x}=\sqrt{45 \times 45} \end{array}

⇒ x = 45

∴ The number of rows = 45 and the number of plants in each rows = 45.
