b) The height of competitors in an athletic meet.

d) The number of passenger boarding trains from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm at a station.

Give reasons for each.

Histogram is the representation of data when data is represented in the class interval.

We can use a histogram in case (b) and case (d)

Because in these cases data can be divided into class intervals.

For case (b), a group of competitors having different heights in an athletics meet.

For case (d), the number of passengers boarding trains in an interval of one hour at a station.
