"hello students today welcome to lido's homework today we are going to explore this question what are the four functions of root now this before starting with what are the four functions let's look at the rule a root is a part of the plan that is underground so now let's look at the functions the basic functions of the root are first one is we can say absorption of water and inorganic nutrients i repeat absorption of water and nutrients it is very important for a plant to grow and for growing of plant we always need nutrients along with water so that is the function of the root which absorbs the nutrients from the soil and water to other parts of the plant through stem second is anchoring of the plant body to the ground anchoring means supporting it for the plant body to the ground that is how the we can see as the root anchors and supports the plant body to the ground it is able to stand in this proper way let's look at the third function the third function is conduction of all the absorbed nutrients to other plant parts of the plant through stem so stem after it has absorbed all the nutrients from the ground it is going to conduct this to other parts of the plant through this stem next that is the fourth function is storage of food storage of food it is important function which is done by the roots because of which we will be able to help the plant to grow properly fifth point will be vegetative reproduction vegetative reproduction and competition with other plants for it to grow properly it should have all the nutrients and the vegetables reproduction should also be in the proper way so vegetation reproduction and competition with other plants is also a very important function done by the roots so these are the important functions of the root thank you"
